Leadership Skills

I’ve managed the Go Live project for a start-up optical company allowing them to take their first order. Achievements

I completed the full life-cycle development of the Order Entry system for an optical company, which included Order Entry, Shipping and integrating it with the Mid-Level ERP package Solomon IV. I’ve received an award for work which accelerated the acquisition of another company's products.

Programming Skills

Started programming in Microsoft Visual Basic when it was first released in 1991 and continue today using Microsoft Dexterity for the last 6 years, as well as the latest Visual Basic .NET from Microsoft. Had a great deal of experience using Visual Basic to interface with SQL Server using ADO, RDO and ODBC. I am always trying to further my skills with new languages and techniques I find useful.

Database Skills

Very skilled in table design, indices, SQL stored procedures, triggers, maintenance and administration of databases. These skills were used mostly on Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 up to version 2008. Was the lead for the migration of data from older SQL tables to JD Edwards table format using SQL Server's Data Transformation Services.

Reporting Skills

Have been writing reports for various financial and inventory management packages for over 10 years and have created or maintained hundreds of reports in my current position. I have a great amount of experience in Solomon’s Report Writer and for the last 5 years in the Dynamics/Great Plains Report Writer. For the past 9 months I have delved into SQL Reporting Services and gained a lot of knowledge through the creation of multiple reports for my current company.

Network Skills

Performed administration and support for 4 years on LAN, 2 years for WAN used to link the Alpharetta location to Columbus, Ohio location. Strong skills configuration and maintenance on HP and Compaq servers operating on Windows NT 4.0 Server and Windows 2000 Server. I spent a year working with Microsoft Terminal Services connecting our Ohio office with JD Edwards on local servers in Alpharetta.

Professional Experience

Niscayah Inc. - Duluth, GA - ERP Developer - 01/2009 to 11/2009

I came onboard as a contractor to help finish the Great Plains ERP Project by developing customizations for Field Service, Purchasing, Inventory and also creating new utilities in Microsoft Dexterity to further enhance work flow. This position has furthered my Dexterity skills a great amount as I have done a lot of cross dictionary coding. I have also used SQL Server Reporting Services to create complex inventory reports. For the last few months I have moved to more of an administrator role to assist the hundreds of Great Plains users throughout the country with daily support issues.

InSTORE Systems - Atlanta, GA – Senior Developer - 01/2004 to 01/2009

The sole developer at a company that develops software to help businesses in the hospitality industry (restaurant, hotel, etc.) to better manage their inventory, employees and costs associated with running a business. I have worked on all aspects of the product including Order Entry, Sales Orders, and Inventory and integrated it with Microsoft Great Plains/Dynamics GP. The software is a third party add-on that keeps its own tables, but posts all financial data into GP for processing. I have also created and maintained hundreds of reports for all aspects of business reporting needs using Report Writer.

ALG Software - Atlanta, GA – Product Specialist - 04/2003 to 01/2004

Part of a team of consultants doing implementation and development of activity based costing & management software solutions for businesses across the country. Development was done in Visual Basic, VBScript & JavaScript. Worked with SQL Server & Oracle to design databases and create stored procedures for multi-dimensional models for use in ABC/M software.

Rodenstock - Alpharetta, GA - Senior Programmer Analyst - 04/1998 to 03/2002

Lead the creation and implementation of a custom optical order entry system using Visual Basic and interfacing it with Solomon IV's BTrieve RDBMS. When volume increased, interfaced the software to Microsoft SQL Server. For the last 2 years was the project lead for the implementation of JD Edwards OneWorld XE and CNC Administrator. Developed several custom applications to aid the migration from Solomon IV to JD Edwards. Managed up to 10 consultants at a time during the implementation and Go Live stages of JD Edwards. Developed the company's first web-site using Dreamweaver and Photoshop. Created programs to perform ETL functions for creating Cognos multi-dimensional databases.

ANC, Inc. - Dayton, OH - Programmer Analyst - 09/1997 to 03/1998

Developed custom software solutions for our clients using Visual Basic and Solomon IV mid-level ERP system. This included inmate tracking for a correctional facility. Performed on-site programming for clients who needed immediate response to their problems. Developed the company's web-site using Dreamweaver.
